Renovation of a municipal facility in Brookville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Project Engineer and contact is Steve Gibson (sgibson@gdfengineers.com). The Borough of Brookville is soliciting proposals for construction of the Brookville Borough Complex Building Rooftop Packaged Air Conditioner Unit Replacement at the Brookville Borough Complex located at 18 Western Avenue, Suite A, Brookville, PA. The work consists of construction of a direct-replacement rooftop packaged air conditioner unit at the Brookville Borough Complex Building including but not limited to all removal of the existing unit, installation of the new unit, general-mechanical, structural, plumbing, electrical work and miscellaneous appurtenances. The current electric rooftop packaged air conditioner unit shall be replaced in-kind with a new direct-replacement electric rooftop packaged air conditioner unit. The current unit is Carrier Model No. 50TC-D14A2A5A0A0A0, Serial Number 4411G50337, 140,000 BTU/Hr, 40.9 KW, 208/230V, 3 Phase, 60 Hz. The new replacement unit shall be Carrier Model No. 50FE-M14A3A5-8F0A0 Weathermaker Electric/Electric Rooftop with 208/230V, 3Phase, 60 Hz, no heat, 12.5 tons, 5,000 CFM, two-stage cooling single circuit, high static vane axial fan, vertical supply/vertical return, standard leak enthalpy economizer with barometric relief, electro-mechanical controls with POL224 EconomizerONE, economizer hood, direct-replacement 24-inch high (or match existing height) roof curb, direct replacement NEMA 4X electrical junction box mounted at roof curb and associated electrical work, removal/disposal of existing rooftop unit, removal/disposal of existing roof curb, installation of new rooftop unit, installation of new roof curb with all necessary roof structural/mounting work and modifications to TPO roof flashing/sealing associated with roof curb replacement, UL60335-2-40 Approved R-454B Dissipation Board and Leak Sensor as Standard, factory mounted/installed NEMA 4X electrical main disconnect on external shell of unit, factory mounted/installed convenience outlet on external shell of unit and Al/Cu condenser and evaporator coil, and all miscellaneous appurtenances and components required for a fully functional unit as supplied by Standard Air & Lite Corp., 2406 Woodmere Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205 (412) 920-6505. Also provided shall be a standard 5-year warranty on compressor parts, a 2-year warranty on other remaining parts and a 2-year workmanship warranty that covers system operation repairs and replacements which shall remain in effect until two years after the date of final completion. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and miscellaneous appurtenances for a complete installation and ready for operation. The rooftop unit replacement work shall be conducted within strict conformance to equipment manufacturer's installation details, instructions and recommendations. Provided shall be all unit connections, hardware, electrical work, plumbing/existing condensate drain reconnections, crane for removal/installation of rooftop units, reconnection to existing ducts and any other miscellaneous reconnections or work as necessary for a fully functional unit. Note that the Contractor is fully responsible for any and all damages to the existing roof during the construction work. The Contractor shall provide product submittal cutsheets for Engineer's and Owner's review and approval prior to ordering of materials. The Contractor shall provide a copy of the manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals, start-up services and successful start-up report by a trained and qualified HVAC start-up technician. The current unit is installed on an existing roof curb. Included in the base bid is work for removal of the existing roof curb and replacement of the roof curb in-kind. The Contractor shall inspect the existing roof curb and if is in good structural and suitable condition for reuse, the Borough reserves the right to reutilize the existing roof curb for the new rooftop packaged air conditioner unit. Provide Bid Alternate No. 1 deduct pricing where indicated on the Bid Form to reuse the existing roof curb for the new rooftop packaged air conditioner unit installation work. Refer to the attached Brookville Borough Complex Building Rooftop Packaged Air Conditioner Unit Replacement Existing Photos showing the approximate limits of work. Contractor shall provide evidence of successful installations for a minimum of ten years along with three references. Contractor shall be prepared to begin work within thirty (30) calendar days of Borough of Brookville's acceptance and authorization to proceed. The Contract Time is ninety (90) days. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Prevailing Minimum Wages in accordance with the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. Refer to attached wage rates. Borough of Brookville hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract work awarded will be to the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder for each contract or combination of bids. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the Bid Opening.
