Reference Number 0000400407 Question Deadline 10/16/2025 at 5:00 PM MT Prospective offerors may also submit any additional written inquiries concerning the requirements of thissolicitation to Derek Pastor via BidNet or e-mail (dpastor@estes.org) In August, 2025, an engineering firm was contracted to evaluate the conditions of the logs of the Visitor Center. Based on those findings and recommendations, the Town is seeking a contractor with experience in log construction and remediation to perform the identified work. Bid submission can be electronic or physical and will be for a lump sum price. Bid documents should define the proposal, but submission of such documents is not mandatory. SCOPE: In August, 2025, an engineering firm was contracted to evaluate the conditions of the logs of the Visitor (full report attached). Based on those findings and recommendations, the Town is seeking a contractor (experience in log construction and remediation is preferred ) to perform the following work: BASE BID: o Exterior logs: o Removal of fixtures and down spouts prior to work; resetting of the same after work has been completed o Blasting and sanding of all posts; masking doors and windows o Prepping surfaces and cleaning surfaces prior to further applications o Staining of all posts. Product - Capture, color TBD, 2 coats (or equivalent product with Town approval) o Application of clear coat to all posts. Product - Cascade Clear, 1 coat (or equivalent product with Town approval) o Caulking of post base bottoms. Product - Conceal, color TBD (or equivalent product with Town approval) o Log rot remediation and large diameter crack filling of all affected logs. Product - Abatron Liquid Wood and Wood Epoxy (or equivalent product with Town approval) o Inspect and tighten all bolted connections ALTERNATE #1: o Exterior logs: o Remove bottom 4ft of all logs o Pour a 3ft diameter, 3ft deep reinforced concrete caisson for each log o Create a stone pillar structure for each log to match existing stone pillar structures ALTERNATE #2: o Interior logs: o Removal of fixtures prior to work; resetting of the same after work has been completed o Caulking of cracks. Product - Conceal, color TBD (or equivalent product with Town approval) o Inspect and tighten all bolted connections General Conditions: o The Contractor will be responsible for the following: o Mobilization of equipment and personnel o Provide Bid, Performance, Labor/Materials Bonds, proof of insurance o Obtain all required permits; coordinate inspections as required, and address any corrective actions noted o Construction/Site Management (including safe working conditions) o Administrative duties o Warranty of materials and workmanship for one (1) year o Final site clean o Timely communications and status updates throughout the duration of the project o Overhead and Profit o Installation of perimeter fencing/safety zone around project area with accessibility for emergency vehicles must be maintained throughout the entirety of the project o All work to be performed in accordance with current local, state, and federal codes
