The City of St. Charles, Missouri is accepting proposals for Snow Removal Services from qualified providers. 1. Plowing and salting of asphalt parking lot. 2. Hand shoveling entries and sidewalks and spreading calcium chloride, in lieu of salt, so concrete is not damaged. Snow plows are to be dispatched at an accumulation of 1" of snow. At an accumulation of 1/8" of sleet, freezing rain or snow, chemical trucks will be dispatched. These same weather conditions will apply to the dispatching of crews to clear and treat sidewalks and entries. Plowing will be done in a neat, organized way so that every possible parking space will be available. If wind rows are included they will be pushed tight and neatly to allow adequate pedestrian access to parking lot and smooth flow of traffic. No pre-treating will be done without prior approval from the City of St Charles. The submitting party acknowledges the right of the City to reject any or all bids and to waive informality or irregularity in any bid received and to award each item to different submitting parties or all items to a single submitter. In addition, the submitting party recognizes the right of the City to reject a bid if the submitterfails to furnish any required data required by the IFB, or if the bid is in any way incomplete or irregular. The City shall be the sole judge of compliance with the specifications and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereof. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract for reasons of violations by the successful Bidder of any term or condition of the contract by giving thirty (30) days written notice stating the reasons therefore and giving the party amply time to remedy the deficiencies. The initial contract term shall be from date of award through the end of the 2025-2026 winter season, approximately March 31, 2026. The City shall hold unilateral options to renew for two (2) additional winter season (2026-2027 and 2027-2028). The bid opening will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., City time, on the first floor at City Hall.
