Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Mobile, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.

The work consists of providing professional architectural/engineering and design services, permitting, and project construction administrative services for a FEMA P-361, 200 MPH rated, First Responder Hurricane Safe Room. Interested firms or individuals will be considered based on their written response to the request, and proposals will be evaluated on prior experience with state or federally funded programs, professional qualifications including design, construction monitoring, and environmental permitting, successful experience with similar projects, and capacity to perform design within a reasonable timeframe. The awarded contract duration will coincide with the completion and closeout of the project. Bidders must respond in writing, prepare a Statement of Qualifications with a maximum of 25 single-sided pages in Times New Roman 11-point font, and organize it by sections with a table of contents. Submittals must be in PDF format and emailed to the provided address. Hand-delivered submittals will not be accepted and late submissions will not be considered. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-submittal conference, provide proof of E-verify enrollment, and be registered in sam.gov with a Unique Entity ID. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to participate and inquire about subcontracting opportunities. All proposals are subject to the availability of funds and Mobile County reserves rights related to the selection process including rejecting proposals, waiving irregularities, and making a selection based on submitted qualifications or through a shortlist process.
