A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Work included in this Project consists of removing accumulated sediment from four (4) recharge basins within an 18-acre municipal recharge facility. Sediment removal shall range in depth from 1-foot to 3-feet from across the bottom of each basin to create a level recharge surface. Work includes survey services to ensure a level surface after sediment removal. Spoils from sediment removal activities will be utilized in an adjacent area at the southeast corner of the recharge facility property.. The City is issuing this IFB to secure a qualified A, A-5 or K-A Licensed Contractor to perform the Work and provide Materials as more particularly described in the Specifications attached to this IFB, and incorporated herein by reference. Bidders must submit Bids encompassing the entire Project, inclusive of the related Plans, Specifications, related construction drawings and Reference Documents. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the Bid is non-responsive. Background The recharge basins at the McDowell Road Recharge Facility were designed primarily to percolate incoming SRP & CAP surface water and City of Avondale Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) effluent to the aquifer below. During normal operation, the basins will experience sediment build-up as sediment is transported to the basins from the SRP canal system. It is standard maintenance procedure to occasionally remove the top layer of sediment to maintain a good percolation rate within the basins.
