Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Bondurant, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and 60,000-square-foot educational facility.

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of a new elementary school consisting of a single-story building including classroom spaces, vocational rooms, conference rooms, offices, kitchen/commons, gymnasium (alternate) and support spaces. The new construction is approximately 60,000 square feet. Separate lump-sum bid for the BFCSD New Elementary School will be received for: Bid Package No. 03-1 – Concrete Foundations, Concrete Slabs, Polished Concrete Bid Package No. 04-1 – Masonry Bid Package No. 05-1 – Structural Steel & Precast Concrete Bid Package No. 06-1 – General Carpentry Bid Package No. 07-3 – Membrane Roofing, Metal Wall Panels, & Metal Flashing and Trim Bid Package No. 08-1 – Aluminum Entrance, Storefront, & Glazing Bid Package No. 09-1 – Gypsum Board Assemblies, Acoustical Ceilings, & Painting Bid Package No. 09-5 – Resilient Flooring, Carpet, & Ceramic Tile Bid Package No. 11-1 – Food Service Equipment Bid Package No. 11-4 – Athletic Flooring & Equipment Bid Package No. 21-1 – Fire Suppression Systems Bid Package No. 22-1 – Plumbing & HVAC Bid Package No. 26-1 – Electrical, Communications, & Safety and Security Bid Package No. 31-1 – Earthwork, Site Utilities, & Landscaping Bid Package No. 32-1 – Paving & Sidewalks Work to commence on or about April 6, 2026, and be substantially complete on or before July 16, 2027. Final Acceptance of the Project shall be on or before August 13, 2027. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or an approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish satisfactory performance/payment bonds, refuse to enter into a Contract on the basis of the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this Notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date and hour set for opening of bids. Bids will be received under separate contracts as outlined in the bid-package descriptions listed above. Bids will only be accepted for the above listed bid packages. Separate contracts will be awarded for each Bid Package, and no tied bids will be permitted. The Board of Directors of the BFCSD reserves the right to conduct such investigations as it deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of any apparent low bidder to establish the qualifications, experience, number of employees, and responsibility of the bidder to do the work. The District may require submission of AIA Document A305, Contractor Qualification Statement, at its discretion to the apparent low bidder. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or irregularities and to enter into such Contract or Contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the District.
