The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following at the Muskegon Heights Elevated Water Tank located at the corner of E. Norton Ave. and S. Getty St., Muskegon Heights, MI 49444, with access through Mona View Cemetery at 335 Mona View Dr.: - Removal of existing altitude valve serving the water tank and replacement with 12-inch ductile iron pipe. - Replacement of two 12-inch ductile iron gate valves. - Installation of concrete catch basin for new overflow discharge pipe. - Exterior and interior abrasive blast cleaning and painting of the elevated tank. - Abrasive blast cleaning and painting of valve chamber piping and foundation of the elevated tank. - Installation of a mechanical mixer. - Completion of various repairs related to access to the elevated tank and safety improvements. - All associated vegetation removal, fence and gate replacement, site work, and restoration. Instructions to bidders include: - Bidders must submit hard copy Bid Proposal Documents, type written or hand written in ink, clearly and legibly setting forth all required amounts and costs; illegibility may result in rejection.
