The purpose of this Unsealed Request for Proposals (URFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide industrial welding, fabrication and repair services on an as needed basis for the City of Newport News City Department of Parks and Recreation according to the specifications within. The intent is to establish a multi-term contract for services and repairs on an as needed basis throughout each contract term. Other City departments may utilize services as needed. The City currently maintains several locations that have aluminum gangways, floating docks, various metal railings, stairways and several types of large metal assets that periodically require repairs for preservation. Question Submission Deadline: November 10, 2025, 3:00pm Questions regarding this Request for Unsealed Proposals (URFP) must be submitted in writing electronic The initial contract period will be for one (1) year from date of award with the option to renew, at the Citys sole discretion, for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. A contract extension, under the terms and conditions contained herein, may be considered for up to six (6) months following the end of the final one year renewal period upon mutual agreement of the City and Contractor.
