Base Bid 1 was not awarded Base Bid 2 - Awarded - Keokuk Contractors $545,818 Work consists of demolishing the existing lower trash screen and sections of existing sheet piling and guardrail at the #2 Station. Following demolition work, construction shall commence on installing the new lower trash screen, extending the existing concrete catwalk, and installing a new concrete slab for moss buildup. Includes Two (2) Additive Alternates specified in Section 012300. Work consists of demolishing the existing lower trash screen, a section of the existing upper trash screen, the existing steel tread plate catwalk, sections of existing sheet piling and grating, an existing water gage, and existing guardrail and posts of the existing concrete staircase along the west side of the pump station of the No. 4 pump. Following demolition work, construction shall commence on placing new sheet piling, installing the new lower trash screen, a new concrete catwalk, two new concrete slabs for moss buildup/access, concrete walls along the top of demoed sheet piling A certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid on a solvent bank, made payable to the Two Rivers Levee & Drainage District shall be filed in a separate envelope with each bid. This check or bid bond may be cashed and the proceeds retained by the District as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute a contract and file and approved bond equal to 100% of the contract price by a responsible surety for the faithful performance of the contract.
