ALL BIDS REJECTED Work consists of demolishing the existing lower trash screen and sections of existing sheet piling and guardrail at the #2 Station. Following demolition, construct and install a new lower trash screen, extend the existing concrete catwalk, install new guardrail, and pour a new concrete slab for moss buildup. Disturbed areas of the site will be seeded. At the #7 Station, work includes demolishing the existing lower trash screen, a section of the existing upper trash screen, the existing steel tread plate catwalk, sections of existing sheet piling and grating, water gage, and guardrail and posts of the existing concrete staircase along the west side of the pump station. Following demolition, install new sheet piling, lower trash screen, concrete catwalk, two new concrete slabs for moss buildup/access, concrete walls along the top of demolished sheet piling, new guardrail sections, and new guardrail along the existing concrete stairs at the west side of the pump station. Each bid shall be made on the form provided and sealed in a separate envelope from the certified check or bid bond. A certified check or bid bond of 5% of the base bid must be filed separately and may be retained as liquidated damages if the contract is not executed. Bidding documents will be available electronically at the designated website, and prospective bidders are urged to register as a plan holder. Technical questions should be directed to the engineer as specified. Partial sets of documents will not be available. The owner may reject any or all bids and will give preference to products and provisions grown or produced within Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. Sales tax exemption certificates will be issued for materials used in the construction contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
