The project consists of the removal of the existing culvert crossing under Broekers Lane just north of Budd Road, and its replacement with a new, precast reinforced concrete box culvert, precast box culvert headwalls with wingwalls, replacement of the existing asphalt roadway, steel guardrail installation, maintenance of traffic and detour route, and all other items shown on the plans and mentioned in the specifications for a complete project. The bids shall be Unit Price for all work shown on the plans and called for in the specifications with unit prices for extras as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders in the specifications and submitted in duplicate on the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96. An executed State Board of Accounts Form 96a or similar document shall be required. The bidder must file with their sealed bid proposal, a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid, payable to the City of New Albany Flood Control Department. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing work, a performance and payment bond to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance, in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said Contractor and Certificates of all Insurance as described in the Contract Documents.
