Bidders must ensure all bid specifications and forms are obtained and submitted as required, and are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference to clarify project work and understand bid submission requirements. Bids must be sealed and delivered bearing the project title, contract number, and bidder's information. No electronic submissions are accepted. All bidders must comply with Affirmative Action Against Discrimination regulations and Prevailing Wage Rate Determination. The successful contractor will be required to submit an Initial Project Workforce Report. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders shall be prequalified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction in one or more of the following trade categories: C008 General Construction, C009 General Construction/Alterations & Additions, or C011 Doors and Hardware. Bidders on public works projects exceeding $20,000 must have Department of the Treasury prequalification, and submit a Prequalification Affidavit, Notice of Classification, Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form, and an Affidavit of no material adverse change. Each bid must include a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check for 10% of the total bid (not to exceed $20,000). Corporate bidders must submit a list of all stockholders with 10% or more ownership. All contractors must possess a valid Contractors Registration Certificate at the time of bid submission.
