Bidders must be prequalified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction in the trade categories C008 (General Construction) and/or C009 (General Construction/Alterations & Additions). Bid documents are available with a non-refundable deposit, and technical questions are to be directed to the specified architect. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is strongly recommended for clarification of project work and bid submission procedures. Bidders are required to comply with affirmative action regulations, prevailing wage determinations, and must submit specified documentation, including a bid bond or equivalent, prequalification affidavit, notice of classification, stockholder disclosure, and contractor's registration certificate. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes by the deadline; electronic submissions are not accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
