Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available at the engineering office, and electronic or hard copies can be obtained upon payment. Bids must be submitted on the forms prepared by the specified engineers, in sealed envelopes indicating the work being bid upon, and addressed to the City Clerk. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of at least 10% (not to exceed $20,000) of the bid amount, and a certificate letter from a surety company confirming provision of a completion bond. The award of the contract is subject to the availability of necessary funds and permits. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action requirements, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, business registration, public works contractor registration, and stockholder disclosure requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality as may be in its best interest. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
