Bid forms, contracts, and specifications can be obtained from Remington & Vernick Engineers upon request and payment. Bids must be submitted on the designated forms, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's information and the work reference, and delivered to the Margate City Clerk at 9001 Winchester Avenue, Margate, NJ. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) and not exceeding $20,000 of the bid amount, along with a certificate letter from a surety company agreeing to provide a completion bond. The contract award is subject to funding by the City and the securing of required State, Federal, or Local permits. The work of this project consists of the following: 1. Removing, Repairing & reinstallation of the pump, motor and related equipment for Well #10. The proposed repairs/replacements are listed in Section 330110.92 of these specifications. 2. Standard redevelopment of well, including the addition of chemicals as required in order to redevelop the well on an if & where directed basis. 3. Sterilization of the well prior to returning same to service. 4. Performance of pre-development and final pumping test, vibration analysis and preparation of report. 5. Television inspection of the existing well. 6. Televised inspection of the repaired well. 7. Cleaning of well casing & screen utilizing wire brush, air agitation & bailing. 1.03 The above Scope of Work outlines the general items and distribution of work and shall not be construed as being all inclusive All bids must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bidders must also comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders), the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq.), and provide proof of business registration for themselves and any named subcontractors (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44).
