Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Scheduled and emergency bridge structural and substructure repairs and related work at various locations along I-90. All bidders must have a valid vendor code issued by MassDOT. Bidders need to apply for a Digital ID at least 14 days prior to bid opening through www.bidx.com. Proposals are to be submitted electronically via www.bidx.com. No paper copies of bids will be accepted. All prospective bidders who intend to bid must obtain the 'Request Proposal Form (R109)' from https://www.mass.gov/prequalification-of-horizontal-construction-firms, complete it, and email an electronic copy to the MassDOT Director of Prequalification for approval at prequal.r109@dot.state.ma.us. Proposal documents for official bidders are posted on www.bidx.com. Other interested parties can receive informational contract documents containing plans and special provisions free of charge. Bids and contract awards will be made according to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30 39M. The Project Bids File Attachments folder at www.bidx.com is to be used for submitting required documents at the time of bid such as the Bid Bond and other requested documents. A proposal guaranty in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid is required. The project is subject to the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Division of Occupational Safety. Price adjustments apply for hot mix asphalt, Portland cement mixtures, diesel fuel, gasoline, and steel, with reference base prices provided. Projects are subject to the rules and regulations of the Architectural Access Board (521 CMR 1.00 et seq.). To get informational plans and specifications, a Request for Informational Documents' must be sent to MassDOTBidDocuments@dot.state.ma.us. Additional information is available at WWW.COMMBUYS.COM. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Department in the BRIDGE-CONSTRUCTION category. An award will not be made to a contractor not pre-qualified by the Department prior to the opening of proposals. All prospective bidders must obtain and submit the 'Request Proposal Form (R109)' as instructed.
