The project will have (4) prime contracts: Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and General Construction with ACM Abatement. The purpose of this project to remove the building from the central heating plant steam loop and provide boilers to provide heating and domestic hot water for the building. The existing boiler room requires removal of existing equipment and installation of, but not limited to, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and other equipment. A trailer mounted temporary system is to be provided to allow the work to be done with minimal disruption to heating/hot water services to the building. As part of this project a second means of egress is to be provided to meet current code. This requires cutting a doorway into the exterior wall and providing an enclosed stairwell out of the basement boiler room. Estimated Cost Range: $260,000 - $280,000.
