Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in North Parkersburg, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.
Work shall include but not be limited to the addition and renovations to Madison Elementary School located at 1426 32nd Street, Parkersburg, WV. Additions include a kitchen and cafeteria and a classroom wing. Construction will be phased, with the addition, interior renovations, and complete sprinkler renovations to be done to allow the school to remain in session. Phase 1, which includes the addition of the kitchen/cafeteria and the classroom wing, must be completed and in use prior to the 2026-2027 school year. The remaining phases will be completed during the school year while the school is in use. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount is required. The successful Bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds. Each Bidder must provide an executed Drug-Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit and Jobs Act Affidavit. The successful Bidder and all Subcontractors must provide Contractor Certification of Worker Compliance, and all Bidders must submit certifications to comply with the requirements of the Resolution for Construction Contracts adopted by the Wood County Board of Education. The Contractor will pay for and pick up all permits. Offers must be submitted on the Bid Form provided and must be irrevocable for 30 days after submission. All applicable national and state codes and regulations must be followed. Bidders and subcontractors must utilize local labor per the West Virginia Jobs Act. All contractors must be licensed to perform work in the State, and the Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers.
