Demolition, site work and addition to a water / sewer project in Chatham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

The project generally consists of the installation of a 79-foot long pile supported concrete pedestrian walkway addition along the southern end of the South Jog at the Chatham Fish Pier. The work includes demolition of an existing gangway platform, construction of a new reinforced concrete pedestrian walkway supported by treated timber piles and a combination of stainless steel and fiberglass reinforced plastic structural members, installation of a timber whale and timber chock fender system, reinstallation of the existing gangway assembly onto the new walkway, and construction of a handrail along the walkway. Additionally, a 19-foot long concrete foundation wall will extend the southern wall of the South Jog landward, and a Tensar Marine Mattress will be installed at the base. An additional pile and mounting assembly will be installed to support a jib crane. Other tasks include excavation and backfill, walkway area painting, repair of a washed out section of the asphalt parking lot, and installation of additional guardrail. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to 5% of the bid value, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond for at least 50% of the contract price. Bidders must observe employment condition requirements and prevailing wage rates for the project. The project is located on 45 Barcliff Avenue Ext. in Chatham, Massachusetts.
