Demolition and site work for a pre-engineered storage facility in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the hoop building fabric and metal superstructure. Contractor to also dispose of any and all components of HVAC, Fire Suppression, Insulation, and any other systems or components connected to the superstructure. Contractor to ensure the disconnection of those systems are made in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Contract shall commence upon approval of contract and insurance. Contract shall terminate upon acceptance of the project at Marion City Council. Work shall be completed by May 1, 2026. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, a penalty charge of one-half percent (1/2 %) of the contract price shall be assessed for each day the project remains uncompleted. Quotes may be withdrawn at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of quotes, but no quote may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) calendar days thereafter. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes; to request new or revised quotes; to award quotes item-by-item, by groups or lump sum; and to waive technicalities and formalities where is it deemed advisable in protection of the best interests of the City.
