The project involves the 2026 CIPP Rehabilitation Project for the City of Marion, Iowa. The general nature of the work includes: 2867 linear feet of 8" pipe cleaning, 3324 linear feet of 10" pipe cleaning, 27 protruding service removals, 2867 linear feet of 8" CIPP, 3324 linear feet of 10" CIPP, 121 building service reconnections, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Any alteration of the proposal form may be cause for rejection. Each bidder must accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa law, in a separate envelope attached to the bid. A properly completed and signed statement regarding the bidder's resident status and an Equal Employment Opportunity / Non-Discrimination Policy Statement must be submitted with the bid proposal. Documents must be obtained directly from the City of Marion Public Works Department. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond equal to 100% of the contract price and may be required to post or pay for a maintenance bond upon project completion. Work must be completed by November 13th, 2026, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for late completion. Preference may be given to Iowa-produced goods and labor, as required by law. Sales and use tax should not be included in bid prices; a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided upon contract approval.
