Removal of asbestos containing floor tile and mastic materials at Conyers Learning Academy in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be sealed and received before the designated time; late bids will not be considered. Contractors must pay prevailing wage rates as required by Illinois law. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or accept the bid best serving its interest. Bidders must complete all attached certificates and authorizations. A performance bond and a 10% bid bond or certified check are required with the bid package. A prevailing wage statement is required. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and visit the work site to review scope and site conditions. Bidding documents will be issued electronically prior to the pre-bid meeting. The project site is the John G. Conyers Learning Academy located at 2800 W Central Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This Work Plan requests bids from Illinois Department of Public Health licensed Contractors for the following items, as indicated on the attached drawings: Abatement of asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic in the schools east and west wing classrooms including under the unit vents and classroom storage rooms. Unit vents are to be removed by others. Mastic is to be removed bygrinding method. This project is to have three separate bids based on the project phases. Phase I east wing classrooms, Phase II west wing classrooms or Phase III a bid to do both Phase I and Phase II (east and west wing classrooms) floor tile and mastic removal. Community Consolidated School District 15 reserves the right to chose what phase or phases of the project to be completed summer of 2026 and/or 2027. The Contractor shall provide demolition, removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials located in John G. Conyers Learning Academy as indicated in this Work Plan and the attached construction drawings.
