The Town of North Kingstown is seeking bid proposals from qualified Mechanical contractors for work associated with the replacement of the chiller and pumps at the North Kingstown Senior Center building located at 44 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI. The scope includes review of existing conditions and field measurements, removal of the existing chiller, pumps, and all associated piping and components with proper disposal, and furnishing and installation of a new chiller, pumps, and all accessories necessary for a fully functional system. Contractors are responsible for installation, testing, and system balancing to meet all local and state building and mechanical codes and manufacturer requirements. Refer to the attached plans and specifications for equipment selection, execution, quality assurance, regulatory requirements, and warranties. Contractors must obtain final inspection and approval by relevant authorities and submit close-out documents, including as-builts and operation and maintenance manuals, to the mechanical engineer and owner. Product substitutions must be approved, and all project-required credentials, licenses, and relevant experience must be listed in the RFP submission. All involved firms and individuals must be identified on the bid form, and contractors must be licensed in the State of RI for all necessary trades. Subcontracting of services requires prior town authorization. Contractors must comply with RI Prevailing Wage requirements and are responsible for site security and public safety. The contractor is liable for any damage caused by employees and must procure necessary insurance, licenses, and permits, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
