The work consists of providing the materials, labor, and equipment necessary to successfully apply an acrylic color coat system to existing basketball and tennis courts. The work also includes required crack fill and leveler prior to the installation of the color coat system. For Alternate #1, the contractor must core out and install two sets of tennis sleeves in asphalt and color coat/stripe the courts. The owner will provide tennis posts and nets after completion of the work. All proposals must include a ten percent (10%) bid guarantee. No oral proposals or modifications will be considered. The park district reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informality, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Park District. All contracts for the construction of public works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty calendar days.
