Stadium Improvements at Nordhoff Jr High and High School, Bid Package No. 4 - Asphalt Paving. Bids must be submitted on provided forms and received in the Office of the Bond Department. The contract time is 150 days. Bidders must consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding milestones and liquidated damages. Bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or C-12 License at the time of bid and throughout the contract. All subcontractors must be appropriately licensed. Each bid must conform to the contract documents. Bidder’s security in the form of cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or a bidder’s bond amounting to at least ten percent of the maximum bid is required. Separate payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, are required prior to contract execution. Certified payroll records must be furnished as required. Prevailing wage laws apply. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities or informalities in bidding. Each bidder must submit a list of subcontractors as required by law. Requests for substitutions must be submitted with the bid on the required form. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery of bids. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened. Any partial or incomplete submissions may not be considered. All bid documents are available online or at the specified district office location. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference for interested parties. No telephone or facsimile services are available for bidders at district premises. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be prequalified through the district’s quality bidders program and submit prequalification documents not less than ten business days prior to the bid opening. Prequalification documents are available from the Ojai Unified School District Website or at qualitybidders.com and must be approved prior to bidding. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. The successful bidder and all subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work. Each bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or C-12 License at the time of bid and for the duration of the project. Separate payment and performance bonds, as well as appropriate forms of security, are required. Compliance with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and all applicable labor codes is mandatory. Bidders must also meet DVBE program requirements where applicable and submit all required documentation accordingly.
