Site work for a mixed-use development in Ojai, California. Completed plans call for site work for a stadium; educational facility; and educational facility.
Stadium Improvements at Nordhoff JR High and High School, Bid Package No. 8 - Site Utilities. All bids must be made and presented only on the forms provided. Contract time is 150 days. Contractors should consult the project requirements regarding milestones and liquidated damages. Bids must strictly conform and be responsive to the contract documents. Each bidder must submit a list of designated subcontractors as required. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities. Payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required prior to contract execution. Prevailing wage laws apply, and all work must comply with the Labor Code and be performed by properly licensed contractors and subcontractors. Certified payroll records must be furnished as required. No bid may be withdrawn for 90 calendar days after the date set for opening. The District will permit substitution of securities for moneys withheld to ensure performance, per Public Contract Code section 22300. Each bid must be accompanied by bidder’s security of not less than 10% of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee the bidder will enter into the contract and provide required bonds and documents if awarded. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Miscellaneous instructions: Bid documents are available at www.qualitybidders.com. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor in California with a valid and active Class A or C-36 license, and subcontractors must be licensed as required for their trades. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference. The contractor and all subcontractors must be registered to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Where applicable, bidders must meet requirements regarding Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs. All forms are included in the bid package. Requests for substitutions must use the designated form included in the contract documents. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of bids to the designated location. No telephone or facsimile is available on premises for bidders. Bids must conform to the requirements of the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act and other relevant public contract codes. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective bidders are required to submit a completed set of prequalification documents on forms provided by the district through the quality bidders program. Prequalification documents must be submitted not less than ten business days prior to bid opening. Prequalification is mandatory and bids will not be accepted from contractors who have not been prequalified. Each bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or C-36 License at the time of bid and throughout the contract. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
