Stadium Improvements at Nordhoff JR High and High School, for Bid Package No. 1 – Demo and Grading. All bids shall be made and presented only on the forms provided. Bids must strictly conform to and be responsive to the Contract Documents. The Contract Time is 150 days. Each bidder shall submit a list of designated subcontractors required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. Bids must be accompanied by a suitable form of bidder’s security equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid as a guarantee for entering into the Contract and providing required bonds and documents. Separate payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the Contract amount, are required prior to execution of the Contract. Prevailing wage rates as set by the Department of Industrial Relations must be paid. Contractors and subcontractors must submit certified payroll records monthly or as required. Substitutions under Public Contract Code section 3400 must be requested with the bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities or informalities in any bid or the bidding process. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery of their bids to the specified location. No bids may be withdrawn within 90 calendar days of the bid opening date. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective bidders must submit a completed set of prequalification documents through the district’s quality bidders program no less than ten business days prior to bid opening. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor pursuant to California law, possess a valid and active Class A License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract, and be registered to perform public work as required by Labor Code section 1725.5. Subcontractors must also be appropriately licensed. Bidder’s California State License number must be stated on the proposal. Bids will not be accepted from contractors who have not been prequalified where required.
