Bid Package No. 5 is for site concrete paving as part of stadium improvements at Nordhoff JR High and High School. Bids must be submitted on forms provided, received at the specified location, and comply with the requirements detailed in the contract documents. The contract time is 150 days. All contractors must be licensed in accordance with California law to perform the specified work. Bids shall be accompanied by a form of bidder’s security, and payment and performance bonds are required. Subcontractors must be licensed for their trades, and bids must strictly conform to the contract documents. Bidders must also provide a list of designated subcontractors. Prevailing wage laws apply, and certified payroll records must be furnished. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities or informalities. The District will permit the substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure contract performance. No bidder may withdraw a bid for ninety days after the opening. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective bidders are required to submit a completed set of prequalification documents through the quality bidders program utilized by the district. Prequalification documents must be submitted at least ten business days prior to bid opening, and only prequalified contractors may submit bids. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class A, B, or C8 License at the time of bid and throughout the contract duration. Contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
