Site work for a transportation facility in Chatham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

As of March 5, 2026 this project is not awarded yet. This project is for the replacement of the Runway 6 and Runway 24 REILs and PAPIs and associated electrical infrastructure, the replacement of the airport rotating beacon, the installation of the supplemental wind cone, and other work as shown on the Plans, as specified in the Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract and shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The contract time for completion is twenty calendar days if all bid additive alternates are awarded, consisting of five calendar days for Base Bid (Phase I), fourteen calendar days for Bid Additive Alternate No. 1 (Phase II) concurrent to Phase I, four calendar days for Bid Additive Alternate No. 2 (Phase III), and two calendar days for Bid Additive Alternate No. 3 (Phase IV), if awarded. Contractor shall comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Required Contract Provisions as contained within the project specifications and bid documents. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the outlined procedures via the specified online bid hosting site. Hard copies will not be accepted. Tutorials and instructions for electronic bidding are available online. Bids shall be accompanied by Contractor/Subcontractor Certifications as specified. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent of the total bid amount must be submitted. The successful bidder shall furnish 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, liability insurance listing required parties as additional insured, and an executed Owner/Contractor Agreement within five calendar days from the date of Notice of Award. The Chatham Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technical or legal deficiencies. P. 603-471-1887 F. 603-471-1809 mko@gainc.com This project will involve the replacement of the Runway 6 and Runway 24 REILs and PAPIs and associated electrical infrastructure and vault modifications, the replacement of the Airport rotating beacon and associated electrical infrastructure and vault modifications, and the installation of the supplemental wind cone. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: o Remove existing and install new Runway 6 and Runway 24 Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPIs); o Remove existing and install new Runway 6 and Runway 24 Runway End Identifier Lights (REILs); o Remove existing and install new electrical ducts, conduits, cable, counterpoise, duct/cable markers, vault modifications, and foundations for the Runway 6 and Runway 24 PAPIs. o Remove existing and install new electrical ducts, conduits, cable, counterpoise, transformers, duct/cable markers, and foundations for the Runway 6 and Runway 24 REILs. o Remove existing and install new rotating beacon. o Remove existing wire for the old beacon from the present power feed in the administration building. o Install new cable, conduit, and vault modifications as needed for the rotating beacon. o Install supplemental wind cone. o Topsoil and seed This project will be completed in four (4) phases to minimize the disturbance to Airport operations. Phase I and II will be completed concurrently. The total project time allowed is twenty (20) calendar days if all bid additive alternates are awarded. Runway 6-24, the turf runway, and the taxiways will be closed for Phases I, II, and III if awarded. Contractors may either rent, purchase, or use their own runway closure markers for the project; the Contractor will retain ownership following completion of the project. Base Bid Phase I (5 Calendar Days) - Phase I work is shown in the attached safety plans and includes, but is not limited to: Install all requirements of the CSPP. Install erosion control measures. Install runway closure markers on the Runway 6 and Runway 24 designation markers and on the turf runway. Install lighted barricades to delineate work areas which will close Runway 6-24 and Taxiways. Remove existing and install new Runway 6 and Runway 24 REILs. Remove existing and install new electrical ducts, conduits, cable, counterpoise, transformers, duct/cable markers, and foundations for the Runway 6 and Runway 24 REILs. Topsoil and seed. Bid Additive Alternate No. 1 Phase II (14 Calendar Days) - Phase II work is shown in the attached safety plans and includes, but is not limited to: Install all requirements of the CSPP. Install erosion control measures. Install runway closure markers on the Runway 6 and Runway 24 designation markers and on the turf runway. Install lighted barricades to delineate work areas which will close Runway 6-24 and Taxiways. Remove existing and install new Runway 6 and Runway 24 PAPIs. Remove existing and install new electrical ducts, conduits, cable, counterpoise, transformers, duct/cable markers, and foundations for the Runway 6 and Runway 24 PAPIs. Install vault modifications. Topsoil and seed. Bid Additive Alternate No. 2 Phase III (4 Calendar Days) - Phase III work is shown in the attached safety plans and includes, but is not limited to: Remove existing and install new rotating beacon. Remove existing wire for the old beacon from the present power feed in the administration building. Install new cable, conduit, and vault modifications as needed for the rotating beacon. Bid Additive Alternate No. 3 Phase IV (2 Calendar Days) - Phase IV work is shown in the attached safety plans and includes, but is not limited to: Install supplemental wind cone and incidentals. Maintain erosion control measures.
