Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South River, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project generally consists of improvements to Franklin Street from Pulawski Avenue to Wilson Avenue, Olchaskey Avenue from Prentice Avenue to Kamm Avenue, and Albourne Street from Seppi Avenue to W. Ferris Street. The work includes, but is not limited to, hot mix asphalt reconstruction and/or milling, installation of new concrete curb, concrete sidewalk and ADA curb ramps, installation of hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course and Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course, storm sewer system improvements, sanitary sewer system improvements, and all other associated work as described in the contract documents or as ordered by the Engineer. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or cash in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the Bid, but not more than $20,000.00, as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within ten days. A bid bond in the same amount may be substituted. Each bid must also have a certificate from a bonding company licensed in New Jersey, guaranteeing that the required bond will be furnished if the bid is accepted. Bidders must comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and attach the relevant certificates of registration and business registration to all bids. The successful bidder must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act, and OSHA as amended. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after bid opening. The successful bidder must provide a surety bond for the full contract amount indemnifying the Borough of South River for faithful performance of the work.
