The snow removal contract includes, but is not limited to, clearing, scraping, removing and transporting snow, widening roads and intersections, and de-icing at an hourly rate. The successful bidder must provide all the personnel, tools and equipment required to clear snow down to the pavement across the entire width of the streets mentioned in this technical specification. In addition, the bidder must provide any additional personnel and equipment necessary to avoid delays. The successful bidder must perform its contract in the city diligently and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the tender documents. The initial term of this contract is three (3) years or thirty-six (36) months, from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029. Two renewal options, each for one year, are available under this contract. If the city decides to exercise each option, they will commence on 1 October 2029 and 1 October 2030, respectively. Notwithstanding the foregoing, snow removal work for each winter season is scheduled to begin on 1 November and end on 30 April of each year.
