Street and Drainage Improvements to Circle K Road & Ranch Road (Total 0.478 Miles). All materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of street and drainage improvements are to be furnished. All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of notice to proceed. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Coffee County Board of Commissioners in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work, representing that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly enter into the Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the Coffee County Board of Commissioners. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 percent of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified of the award. All bidders must receive the bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified bidders will not be considered. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable 2024 Supplemental Specifications, or Special Provisions contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. Pre-qualification Requirements: The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration, or shall be approved in writing by the Owner prior to bids being opened. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the Owner must be submitted with the bid. All bidders must receive the bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified bidders will not be considered.
