Sealed bids are requested for the Rahway High School Boiler Room Upgrades Project, requiring a contractor to deliver one price for the complete project, including all trades. The bidder must be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in discipline C033 - Boilers. If not classified as C030 Plumbing and C047 Electrical, the bidder must retain subcontractors with these classifications and name them in the bid, attaching all required documents as outlined in the instructions and applicable law. If not classified as C008 General Construction, C009 General Construction/Alterations & Additions, or C092 Asbestos Removal/Treatment, the bidder must contract with a subcontractor holding these classifications, though naming them in the bid is not required. Compliance with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and other state laws is mandatory. Bids must include a statement of ownership, a Business Registration Certificate, an affidavit of non-debarment, bid security, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. Bids must be sealed, clearly marked, and submitted before the deadline. Modifications to instructions, conditions, or specifications are not permitted except by amendment as specified. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, with the Board retaining the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality or minor defects as permitted by law.
