Site work for a water / sewer project in East Chicago, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the construction, installation, and testing of new copper water service, meter, meter pit (if applicable), buffalo box, valve box and service shutoff valve, restoration of pavement and landscaping, and interior restoration as required. Bidders must submit sealed proposals on the forms provided and ensure their company is listed on the Bidder's Plan Holder List. Each proposal shall include a certified check or bid bond for at least ten percent of the bid as a guarantee. Successful bidders must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent of the bid amount. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with applicable public works requirements and prevailing wage rates as established by the United States Department of Labor and the State of Indiana Department of Labor. Bids will only be accepted from qualified contractors. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or re-advertise if it is in their best interest.
