Site work for a water / sewer project in East Chicago, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project generally consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the construction, installation, and testing of a packaged type plate settler complete with flocculators, inlet diffuser, baffles, effluent trough, sludge collector, and all necessary piping, valves, electrical, and controls required for a complete working system. All proposals must be sealed, addressed to the specified official, and submitted on the forms provided by the Engineer. Contractors must purchase bid documents and be listed on the Bidder's Plan Holder List to be eligible to bid. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Successful bidders must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Contractors and subcontractors are required to comply with public works statutes and to pay prevailing wage rates as established by the U.S. Department of Labor and the State of Indiana Department of Labor. Bids will only be received from qualified contractors. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or advertise for new proposals as necessary.
