Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in East Chicago, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project generally consists of providing all materials, equipment and services necessary for the construction, installation and testing of a prefabricated booster pump station, piping, valves, electrical, underground piping and SCADA controls. All proposals must be sealed, include the bidder's name, address, phone number, and project name on the envelope, and be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer. Contractors must purchase bid documents and be listed on the Bidder's Plan Holder List to be eligible. Each proposal must include a certified check/bank draft or bid bond for at least ten percent of the bid as a guarantee. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to one hundred percent of the bid amount, with approved sureties. Contractors and Subcontractors must conform to the relevant public works requirements and pay no less than prevailing wage rates as established by the United States Department of Labor and State of Indiana Department of Labor. Bids will only be received from qualified contractors. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, or advertise for new proposals if necessary.
