Scope of Work GENERAL: DeSoto County intends to utilize FEMA funding for the replacement of Bridge 044047 . The project involves complete removal of the existing timber bridge, pilings, and approach slabs and replacement with a new concrete bridge, including roadway and right-of-way work on both sides. All necessary permits have been obtained. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope includes demolition and removal of the existing timber bridge and construction of a new three-span flat slab bridge consisting of precast concrete piles, cast-in-place substructure components, cast-in-place concrete flat slab deck, traffic railings, roadway tie-ins, and installation of riprap along the embankments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Contractors must be FDOT prequalified in Minor or Intermediate Bridge Construction and demonstrate experience as Prime Contractor on at least three similar projects, including one new concrete bridge in the last seven years for a public entity. SCHEDULE: Work shall occur Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm, with limited Saturday work by approval. Substantial Completion is required within 210 calendar days of Notice to Proceed and Final Completion within 240 days total.
