Renovation of an educational facility in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of a full roof tear off, installation of roof insulation, cover board, and single ply roofing over the existing roof deck on the roof areas identified on the drawings. Existing metal flashings and roof penetration flashings will be removed and replaced. Existing stone coping caps will be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. The project also includes removal of identified existing mechanical equipment and subsequent roof deck infill. Each bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided, in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and the name and address of the bidder. Alteration of the bid form may be cause for rejection. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, in the form of Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Credit Union Certified Share Draft, or an approved Bond Form. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Failure to provide these will result in forfeiture of bid security as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after the bid opening. The project is tax exempt, and bid totals must not include Iowa State Sales Tax. The bidder shall include all requested forms and attachments; failure to comply may be cause for rejection. Bids are received for a single lump sum contract.
