Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of all labor, equipment, and materials to install 34 ADA accessible curb ramps along Marywood Dr., Glenview Cir., Kaufmann Ave., and Theda Dr. In addition to the curb ramp work, adjacent pavement, sidewalks, storm sewer, and landscape restoration work are included with the project. Instructions to bidders include: - Each bidder must accompany their bid with security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract amount in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or a bid bond with acceptable corporate surety. - The successful bidder must provide a corporate surety bond for the faithful performance of the contract in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract. - Preference will be given to Iowa products and labor, as required by state statutes. - Bidders should not include State of Iowa sales tax in their bid; a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided for materials purchased in Iowa for incorporation into the project. - Federal prevailing wage rates, disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) policies, and targeted small business (TSB) affirmative action responsibilities are not applicable for this project. - There will not be a pre-bid construction conference for this project.
