Separate sealed bids are requested for 2021 Bond Phase 2 and 3 Contract No. 4 - Electrical Reconstruction. Bids must be submitted on the standard proposal form as designated by the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be sealed in an opaque envelope clearly marked with the name and address of the bidder, contract name and number, opening date for bids, and addressed to the appropriate entity. Each bidder must include security with their sealed bid in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid and all alternate bids. Security must be in the proper form as specified, with certified checks or bid bonds payable to the designated organization. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, or proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the bid opening. The entity reserves the right to waive any informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals, and advertise for new proposals if deemed in its best interest. Bidders may not withdraw their bid until 45 days after bid opening, except as permitted by law. Instructions also indicate that a pre-bid conference and walk-throughs are scheduled, and while not mandatory, attendance is strongly encouraged.
