Sealed proposals are invited for Project No. 636 - 2026 Sales Tax Surface Preservation in the City of El Dorado, Kansas. Work consists of transition milling (2,052 SY), edge milling (32,504 SY), HMA UltraThin bonded surface (72,008 SY), asphalt base patching (BM-2, 850 tons), spot profile milling for high spots (50 SY), installation of manhole pads (30 each), water valve pads (19 each), traffic control (lump sum), and mobilization (lump sum). Proposals require a guarantee equal to 10 percent of the bid. The successful bidder must supply performance, statutory, and one-year maintenance bonds for the full contract price, and furnish a proposed start date within 15 days of contract award. The project must be completed in 45 working days and by September 11th, 2026. Liquidated damages of $400 per working day will be assessed for late completion. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
