The project consists of installing approximately 5,000 pounds of crack seal friction aggregate and 26 tons of rubberized asphalt for crack sealing asphalt roadway sections on various City of Kent Streets, all in accordance with Kent Special Provisions and the WSDOT Standard Specifications. A cashier’s check, cash, or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. Bidders must submit a signed statement regarding prior work subject to President’s Executive Order No. 11246. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, and to determine the most responsive and responsible bidder. The Engineer’s estimated range for this project is approximately $260,000 to $290,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. No plea of mistake in the bid shall be available to the bidder for the recovery of his/her deposit or as a defense to any action based upon the neglect or refusal to execute a contract. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to the President’s Executive Order No. 11246.
