Site work and new construction of a parking garage in Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,175-square-foot, one-story above grade parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate The City of Quincy, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, invites bidders to submit sealed bids for the construction of a DPW Equipment Garage. The General Contractor must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management in the category of General Building Construction. Sub Bid Category Electrical, Fire Protection, HVAC, Masonry, Plumbing, Painting WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. Contractor is responsible for protecting the existing site features and elements until the contract termination. B. Contractor is responsible for protecting any element or item identified to remain in the buildings’ interiors and exteriors until the contract termination. C. Coordination of work of all trades, including general contractor's own works with of other trades’ work. 1. New construction and installation of new systems, products, materials, including but not limited to: a. Interior and exterior new finishes, repair and refinishing as indicated. b. Installation of new roof membrane and roof accessories as indicated. c. Interior painting of intervened paintable surfaces as indicated, including paintable sealant surfaces. d. Installation of new VRF mechanical and plumbing systems and equipment. e. Installation of new interior and exterior electrical power distribution and lighting system. f. Installation of fire protection system, including fire alarm and sprinkler system. D. The new Quincy DPW Sewer and Truck Wash building is a 12,175 s.f. structure supporting the Quincy Department of Public Works. E. The new pre-engineered metal building will be built over new concrete slab and foundation, consisting of a steel framed, covered with exterior insulated metal wall panels and insulated metal roof panels with standing seam joints over steel framing. This building includes double and single insulated hollow metal doors and insulated roll- up service doors for tuck’s access to the interior. In addition, this building includes insulated translucent panel to bring natural light into the interior. The question period will also be extended for General Contractors until Friday March 27, 2026 at 12:00 p.m All inquiries regarding this bid should be directed to Kathryn R.
