Avella Area School District is requesting sealed bids for the Waterline Extension Project, Contract Number G-1149-25. This project is entitled "Waterline Extension". Without intending to limit and/or restrict the volume of work required by this Contract, the work generally consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and transportation, and perform all operations necessary to complete the work as specified and/or indicated on the Construction Drawings and as summarized below: Preliminary Investigation. Supplement existing preliminary investigation of the site as required to provide a sound basis for the planned improvements, including the waterline, all other appurtenances, and all other work described by the Contract Documents. These investigations may include, but not be limited to, utility research, review of existing record drawings, site investigations and others as the Contractor requires to complete the Contract work. Procurement and Construction. The following project features are to be included in the project and are to be furnished, installed or constructed (as appropriate) in accordance with the Contract Documents. a. Site Facilities and Services Provide temporary services and facilities, traffic maintenance and protection, and erosion and sedimentation control, as required for construction of this Contract. Surveying for locations and grades. Excavation, bedding, backfill, backfill materials, and compaction. Sheet, brace, and support the adjoining ground or structures. Provide for dewatering of trenches as needed. Install waterline, service lines, valves, fire hydrants, and other appurtenances as specified herein. Perform all required testing and flush the new pipes. Make interior water system connections at the Junior/Senior High School and the Elementary School. Connect to the PA American Water Company waterline at the water meter vault. 10) Dispose of all waste and surplus materials. 11) Revegetate construction area and restore damaged hedges and fences, restore curbs, roadways and other surfaces as specified herein. 12) Restore pavement line striping. 13) Maintain redline record drawings of Contract work completed and provide these redline drawings to the Engineer at project completion.
