Description

Renovation of a communication facility in West Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.

The project involves providing equipment and installation for the IT and Communication Service Lines located at the West Haven VA Medical Center, 950 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516. The contractor is to supply labor and materials for installation of 10 electrical conduit runs between listed IT closets and new WIFI access point locations, conduit to be sized at 3/4 inch, and to include strings for cable installation if cable is not installed at the same time. Labor and material are required to install a 4 1116 gang box at each WiFi access point location, connected to the conduit. Category 6A cable must be installed at the 10 locations, with access cable added as needed for future connection. The work is to address deficiencies in the IT and Communication Service Lines and prepare the campus for the Cerner upgrade. Installation connections to panels in telecommunications rooms and WiFi access points, as well as the WiFi access points themselves, will be handled by others. Contractors must provide quotations using the specified line-item table and applicable labor rates, ensuring compliance with Service Contract Labor Standards. The location for all work is at the West Haven VA Medical Center.
