Carroll County seeks proposals from HVAC contractors for the replacement/upgrade of boilers, pumps, VFDs, water heaters, and storage tanks at multiple campus locations. Work includes: - Mountain View Community (MVC): Replace an existing Lochinvar 1.3m BTU boiler and two 120-gallon DHW storage tanks with equivalent units. Work should be scheduled to minimize disruption to residents who depend on continuous hot water. Overnight work may be considered. - DPW Garage: Replace the existing RBI 150k input power-vented boiler and indirect DHW storage tank with equivalents; replace the indirect DHW tank with a 40-gallon electric 10/12-year water heater; replace a ceiling-mounted, LP-fired 150k input Modine heater with equivalent. - Annex: Replace two Lochinvar 1.3m BTU heating boilers with equivalents; replace two existing floor-mounted, constant-speed circulators with new VFD-driven circulators; replace an existing Lochinvar 1.3m BTU DHW boiler and three 120-gallon DHW storage tanks with one 50-gallon heat pump/electric water heater/storage tank, associated mixing valve, and return circulation pump. Proposals must include all costs for evaluation, procurement, setup, delivery, and installation. The winning bidder is responsible for legal disposal of all old materials and construction debris. Proposals must be submitted as one original and one copy, delivered via USPS, courier, or hand-delivery by the specified deadline. Emailed or faxed proposals will not be accepted. Only vendors who attend the mandatory site visit are eligible to submit bids.
