Sealed bids are sought for road materials, including but not limited to stone, asphalt, and concrete materials, as detailed in the form of proposal. Proposals must be accompanied by an original Certified Check, Official Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond made out to the City of Altoona, equal to ten percent of the bid amount, and effective for sixty days from the bid opening date. All proposals are to be sealed and clearly marked as a proposal for road materials and addressed as specified. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality not material to the bid, and award the contract in its best interest. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within sixty days after the opening date.
