Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rahway, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of the milling and resurfacing of the roadways, the removal and replacement of deteriorated pavement, curb replacement where necessary to accomplish the milling and paving, sidewalk replacement where necessary to replace curb, storm drainage inlet improvements, upgrades to existing handicapped ramps, and other associated work as contained in the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer. The improvements are part of the 2025 NJDOT Road Program for Maple Terrace, Milton Boulevard, and Jefferson Avenue, and are partially funded by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Grant. The successful bidder is required to perform the work in accordance with the contract documents and requirements of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms as designated in the Contract Documents. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the City of Rahway. Each bid must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from an approved surety company and either a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to "City of Rahway" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of the project. Proposals will only be accepted from properly qualified bidders. Question Deadline 03/31/2026 Such request shall be in writing , addressed to the Owners representative stipulated in the specification . In order to be given consideration , a written request must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bid . The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities not detrimental to the Owner's best interests, except for mandatory and non-waivable items. The Owner may abandon the project and reject all bids if legal or administrative actions could delay or jeopardize the project. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including affirmative action and public disclosure provisions.
