Asbestos abatement and renovation of a mixed-use development in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Provide all labor, materials, tools, appliances, and facilities required to perform asbestos abatement of flooring at various schools, in a workmanlike manner, for the construction and completion of the project in strict accordance with the Bidding Documents. The project includes specific alternates for asbestos abatement at Riverside A Wing & B Wing, and at Riverside C, D, E, and F Wings & T-buildings. All bidders must use the Unit Price Form if the contract includes unit prices. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check as prescribed by Louisiana law must be attached and made a part of the bid. If someone other than a corporate officer signs for the bidder/contractor, appropriate signature authorization is required. Failure to include required signature authorization may result in rejection of the bid unless certain statutory requirements are met. Bidders must acknowledge all addenda. Bid security of 5% of the bid is required, and the successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond. Only Louisiana licensed contractors with an asbestos abatement specialty classification may bid. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required.
