The Housing Authority of Washington County (HAWC) invites written proposals from qualified General Contractors for permitting and construction services for a new permanent supportive housing project. The Forest Grove Permanent Supportive Housing development is planned to include 45 to 60 units of permanent supportive housing, program offices, common interior and exterior amenities, and back-of-house spaces. The selected contractor will work collaboratively with HAWC's chosen development consultant and architectural team from the onset to ensure the project meets client expectations, with a focus on trauma-informed design and the needs of the permanent supportive housing population. The development will serve households with disabling conditions that experience, or are at risk of, prolonged homelessness, primarily single adults and couples with high supportive service needs. The 1.54-acre site at 3127 Pacific Avenue is generally flat, with an existing building and asphalt parking lot, and is near key amenities and transit. Contractors are expected to accommodate potential modifications to unit counts based on funding, and may need to consider additional utility easements along the perimeter.
