The City of Sikeston is soliciting bids for the demolition and disposal of any and all structures at 332 Alabama Street due to health and safety violations creating a public nuisance and hazard to the citizens living in the various neighborhoods. Bidders must use the provided bid return sheet and the attached specifications in preparing their bids. The sealed bid must include a signed and notarized bid return sheet and a signed and notarized Non-Kickback and Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bids that do not contain all required items will be deemed unresponsive and will not be read. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals at its sole discretion. Local vendor preference may apply depending on bid amounts. The City may make investigations to determine the ability of the vendor to fulfill the contract and reserves the right to reject any bid if the vendor is not deemed properly qualified. Any explanation desired by the bidder regarding the meaning or interpretation of the specifications listed in the Invitation for Bid must be submitted to Barry Blevins, Community Development Director, 105 E. No other information provided by others shall be anything more than informal information and shall not be binding upon the City, nor shall it furnish a basis for legal action by any vendor or prospective vendor against the City.
